I caught the old man trying to get into the treat cabinet. He stopped jumping onto counters when he was at his heaviest, but he lost weight and is remembering that he is a cat (albeit one with poppy knees). He needed help getting down. 😆

it's worth noting that i am ten hours into this game though, because i don't usually enjoy castlevania games at all (more on this soon). the fact that i have a compulsion to keep playing means it's doing more right than wrong, which is exciting!!
Show Postevery boss fight is exceptional and makes me appreciate the combat in new ways, and then that exact same combat feels frustrating while exploring the castle. i love the world design, and also so much of it feels like they're introducing a ton of backtracking because "that's what castlevania does."
