For the warm weather months (May–September), island life looks pretty sweet to me. 1) Houseboat and BBQ hang. 2) South side of the island is open lake views with sections of beach. My friend, Peter, has lived on Ward's island (east portion) since the 1960s. Loves it! #photography #torontoisland

Ladysmith is a Vancouver Island (British Columbia) town of under 10,000 people. It dates from 1898, and I would surmise that many of the locals are in great shape. Most of the streets are steeply angled, as you see here with my wife to the right for scale. Nice town! #photography #canada #westcoast
