Early morning worker. Usually pop to Greggs for hot drink/butty deal on way. Staff pre-make my coffee when spotting me in queue & always give me extra bacon in butty. Sometimes I fancy something else but can't risk changing & maybe losing the extra bacon bonus.

The hamster occasionally has nightmares (best guess for his behaviour - anxious squeaking while asleep, calms when he wakes). On one hand I get it: he's a prey animal. But he has also, crucially, experienced absolutely NO HARDSHIP WHATSOEVER in his whole life, so overall I'm baffled.

A few years ago we bought a house - which in itself is incredible - but as part of the deal we got a big range style cooker which the vendors kindly left in situ. Quite old, though. “When this cooker dies it’s going to be a nightmare to replace it,” we’ve said more than once. Anyway, it just died.
