So excited to share that I will be starting my research group at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology! 🥳 My lab will study curiosity and exploration across biological (and artificial) minds. I will recruit a PhD, a postdoc and an RA in the coming months, so please spread the word!

In their own work they were interested in infants (9-15m.o), they show that BA6 lateralizes earlier than BA44. The anterior AF to BA44 is premature in infants. In older infants the AF rightward lateralization is less. Less right-lateralized AF in BA44 had better syntax in follow-up ~1 year later.
Show PostSecond in the sesion is @cheslieklein.bsky.social from Neurenberg and Leipzig on arcuate fasciculus lateralization in 1yos. Earlier work indicated possible developmental differences in AF lateralizations. The subsegment of the AF extending to BA44 was more lateralized than to BA6.
