Talk to someone at a small non-flagship state university, with a 3-3 or 4-4 teaching load, who still - somehow - maintains a research program. They are grossly outpowered by R1 professors with large grants and low teaching load. And yet, they manage.

My doctor asked me if I minded his use of AI to summarize summary my appt yesterday, so first I told him why I mind and then I consented because I wanted to see the summary it generated. It listed a medication I don't take and have never taken on my list of current meds, so here we are.

I am really sympathetic to what primary care docs have to deal with, and I don't want to say no to anything that makes them able to be more attentive to patients, but every time any doc has asked me about this, they've told me they of course check it and of course...I'm sure they think they do but..
