Went to Punch at Young Vic last night . So much to think about. Crime & punishment, responses to both. The human cost of our current dominant vengeful approach as a society. More to say, for now thinking. Brilliant play, highly recommend. @longfordtrust.bsky.social

A pleasure Penny. You have important things to say at a critical time for prisons. Your passionate expert insights are really valuable. Glad you feel it was well worth taking yourself out of your comfort zone. Living by example to StandOut participants! Can’t wait to see where you take things.

Good to see @feweek.bsky.social looking at apprenticeships in prison. Disappointing but not surprising that it's taking time for them to get going. Enabling people to do an apprenticeship in overcrowded and understaffed prisons will have been a real challenge. But worth persevering.

Probably a sensible decision. But the idea that these ‘courses’ could ever constitute ‘rehabilitation’ in and of themselves is risible.
