"the gays gained rights by voting for the homophobic democrats." no the democrats gained the votes of gay people when they started offering policy concessions, however slow and incremental. this also goes in reverse. offer incremental concessions to the right on trans issues and lose our support

@sherrodbrownoh.bsky.social said he won’t push to impeach, @amyactonoh.bsky.social calls trans girls “boys,” and supports ICE and voter ID laws. It’s not “purity” I’m after, it’s doing the bare minimum.
