It took years, but I am finally not homeless anymore, but even as one of the more acceptable kinds of homeless people, i’m articulate and I clean up well and I got to stay in hotels and with friends and not on the street, the direct and indirect cruelty was horrifying.
Show PostSo many people when you were homeless either because they are too busy pitying you are too busy despising you for having needs you can’t solve in public cease to regard you as a person. And a lot of them are very comfortable saying it in one way or another.
