Went looking on Arthur's Seat for the hybrid between forked spleenwort and wall rue. Couldn't find anything convincing near the BSBI DDb grid ref provided by @bramblebotanist.bsky.social, best shout this plant along the road above, looking interestingly different from adjacent wall-rue (pic 2).

Thanks Ben! This is my second time of finding it. Main features are a red dry smooth cap and a dry red finely fibrillose stipe. Gill attachment narrowly adnate and the honey smell which I’ve not been able to detect so far.

Just had my possible Splendid Waxcaps (right set of pics) confirmed which is exciting! Even more exciting the left pics which I identified as Scarlet (but weren’t quite right for) have now been identified as Hygrocybe neomarchii which is one I’d been wanting to see! 😀❤️ #fungifriends #mushroommonday

A lovely day #fungifriends wandering midst waxcaps in the Peak District 🥰 Finally caught up with & smelt the Cedarwood Waxcap & my first time seeing Bitter. A good day, 12 species of waxcap seen in total & if the possible Splendid is confirmed 13, not bad at all! Early for #mushroommonday 🍄 📸
