Two things: (1) This really doesn't sound like Trump; and (2) as someone else here posted earlier, Trump is trying to make like he prefers Carney in the Cdn federal election so that he can try and help Poilievre. I think we're all assuming that, after Carney wins the election, Trump will revert.
