The funeral went very well. 220 people came. The room was filled with flowers. My speech went well and I got a lot of compliments. My 8 year old nephew read a fable and he did so so well. It was very affirming to see everyone here being sad about mom.

Ik zag met verbazing een fragment van Nederlandse televisie (of opgenomen podcast?) waar iemand met droge ogen beweerde dat ze in Nederland aan de-escalatie doen (ik zou eerder zeggen iets later dan de Franse politie beginnen met escaleren, die gooien al met traangas voor een mars van start gaat)

Overigens is dit overal zo. De politie is een orgaan bedoeld om de macht van de staat te zijn en om die macht in stand te houden. Er zit verschil in aanpak, maar daar komt alle politie op neer. Het tragische is: links weet dit, rechts weet dit; alleen centristen geloven in de sprookjespolitie.
