Canada passed new laws - Americans who are direct descendants of Canadians can now apply. Believe me, I scoured the family tree to find someone. Have you checked? A long-lost aunt maybe 😑…?? No luck for me but I haven’t given up-there has to be a way.

Retired pharmacist or I’d be in Canada now. I have friends who have applied for citizenship through their parents.

I talked to an attorney in Montreal to try to figure out a way to do it but Canada’s more interested in accepting immigrants who can contribute to the economy, not retirees. Really happy for you! Things are getting worse by the day here. Congrats!
