But much like the 80’s North American crash, games bounced back. The demand is not going away, there are a metric ass load of us who like video games. It will take time to sort out what its future looks like.
Show PostGames are still being made, but if we have to ask if generational console launches are practical or even possible to continue, if massive studios keep constantly getting laid off and companies have to hold back from releasing demos over fear of reverse engineering, something is wrong.
Show PostI think it is time for us all to admit that we are in the midst of a video game industry crash, largely driven by AI and corporate mismanagement. I do not think this is a crazy or uninformed thing to say. It’s different from the 80’s North American crash, but it’s real.
