1944 #WWII Mom was in Sydney trying to find transportation to join Dad in America and introduce him to his daughter Jill. It will take another six months and General Wurtsmith of V Fighter Command permission. Mom and Dad had married against orders and Australian rules in 1942.

#WWII For Finland the cost was 25,000 killed. This is quite harsh for a country of 4 million, and added to it are the refugees that needed to be given a place to stay in a Finland of less land than it began the war with. But through all this, Finland would remain independent.
