god this is something I feel so passionately about, no "darkly funny" contemporary novel has ever been funny in any way, none of these book reviewers have ever met a funny person in their lives

I look at reviews of literary novels that have been labelled "hilarious" and I always wonder if there is a secret meaning of hilarious I haven't heard about.

Thank you for this fantastic series. The writing is superb and is well matched by the acting, directing and the whole production. One of the very best things on TV IMHO.
