Today’s Adventure: Ferry to Port Angeles and back. I didn’t get any pictures going into Washington because frankly there’s not much to see, but coming back into Victoria, the sun came out and it was beautiful.

I haven’t cleaned this chillum since I bought it at Phish Red Rocks in ‘95. They just don’t make em like this anymore with those layers of color and a fatty pouch to go with it. Also, my 22yo daughter had never seen how you are supposed to smoke a chillum, so I learned her up.

In all seriousness I think it’s pretty amazing to be aware that we’re hearing peak improvisation from a band that has more peaks than the Himalayas. I miss the energy and precision of the 90s, but the improvisation we’ve been hearing lately is peak Phish.
