Over 70% of UK households use gas heating and even more gas is used to generate electricity. The Greens' policy seems to be to let people freeze to death in the dark this winter in order to save the planet. Of course Jackdaw should be approved. Of course electrification should be top priority.

We're installing solar at our house and trying to switch over but we're keeping our gas boiler for the foreseeable future. It would be better to not use gas but given that we are using it anyway, I don't get the argument about how using foreign gas is better than just using our own supply?
