Went to the hospital yesterday because the right side of my face has felt like it's been on fire for the past week straight. I tried to wait it out hoping it would go away, but it keeps escalating dramatically and getting worse every day, so I felt I had to go in to make sure I'm not about to die.

I've been struggling trying to come to terms with this new reality and to forgive myself. Ultimately I think the MRI is going to decide a lot, because if I do have the neuroma where I have a chance at a nerve graft, I'm going for it. Thank you all for the kind words; it really helps.
