honestly, and it’s genuinely something artists suck at doing, the solution to beating ai slop is probably to make doing art cool because that’s the war we are, and have been, losing to youtubers for years educating someone doesn’t work if they don’t think it’s cool enough to learn it to begin with

my understanding (and this is secondhand, which is why I qualified it) is that Anthropic owns much less of its own compute. this makes me suspect their COGS are substantially higher and in a race to the bottom they will not do well
