A station on Palomar Mountain recorded 5.16 inches of rain the last 2 days. The mountains are parched no more. San Diego came up just short of 1 inch. But the weather service expects a little more rain over the next couple of days that could push the week's total over an inch. #sandiegoweather #CAwx

Surprised to see everything wet & 0.02 of an inch of rain in the gauge this a.m. here in inland North County. Gully wasn't exactly washed, but I'll take anything in summer. Just a trace was detected at the airport, site of San Diego's official station. Mount Laguna got 0.09. #sandiegoweather #CAwx

Real rain! None of this drippy marine layer stuff of the last couple of days. Pine Hills was at nearly 3/4 of an inch by 6 a.m. Another gift that at least temporarily reduces the fire danger. San Diego's 0.13 is the most the city has seen in a day since February. #sandiegoweather #CAwx
