You need to put out a video response and apology on TikTok and Insta. I only learned about this from a friend because I do not use Twitter and had learned about TailTag from TikTok. If you talked about it on a platform you need to also inform on that same platform again.

Deontologic "Oh he didn't mean to! It was a fun idea!" is fine for accidents where you take the necessary safety measures and checks. When a recipe goes wrong. Not like this. And denying a breach and chalking it up to just the notification system is intentionally deceitful.

I used to work in a very vulnerable public-facing role. If I signed up for this app and the data breach (which did absolutely happen) took place, someone could make the connection between my job and my private adult life and try to not only get me fired but start a harassment campaign against me.

I think it's perfectly fine to be critical of someone when they do something dangerous regardless of intentions. I haven't seen anyone say anything out of line like pushing them to commit or personal insults. Criticizing what happened, the response, and excuses are justified.
