Not just this. My hometown had a large number of people who objected to paying for the public school because they didn't have kids. It's fucked up.

The stats in the article are insane. A boomer with a $1M home they’ve owned for 50 years pays $500 in taxes. Someone who buys such a home today pays $10K.
