US garment workers helped pioneer multi-ethnic labor unions, which united people across racial, religious, gender, linguistic, and cultural divides. Also native-born citizens and immigrants. I think about that sometimes when I see people suggest such divides are unbridgeable.

A few names you recognize left the company. So what? You’re not even letting the new blood prove themselves. With this mentality we wouldn’t have had a game like Demon’s Souls after FromSoft’s slew of dicey releases in the 2000s. I expect this from X, but I think people here need to do better.

I’m a bit saddened to see the tired old reaction “all the talent left at this company so it’s alright if it got closed” here on bsky. First l, you don’t know that. Second, that’s pretty damn demeaning. Third, even if that was the case, it’s still livelihoods that are being impacted by this move.
