By now you’ve heard about the comparison of this El Niño to the last one we know of that matched these Pacific temps in 1877, which was responsible for 40million deaths. The vast majority of those were the result of famine. Thankfully we aren’t also fighting a fertilizer and diesel shortage. Whew.
