I have to wonder where all the conspiracy theories on passkeys are coming from. I’m sure there are people who will benefit from people being suspicious of one of the biggest improvements in consumer security we’ve had in ages; but then people can come up with dumb theories on their own, heaven knows

Yes, my engineering team is one of the founding members. We've been working the better part of a decade to provide more secure replacements of passwords. There is no world in which a password is the more secure answer when a human is involved.
