I married a really great guy and we have a really cute kid together and a community that cares about us. Family is nice but you don’t need it to be happy :)

I was in college on 9/11 and in a lot of ways my biggest takeaway from what followed was watching it become impossible to say anything critical about the US military. a level of “support our troops without question” brainrot poisoned all public discourse to a far greater extent than I recall before

Happy birthday to Star Trek, as it happens I have a very obvious reason I'm glad that universe exists; without it, at the very least, one of my novels would have a very different title. Even without that connection, however, this universe has given me a lot of joy. Live long and prosper, Star Trek!
