a fashion designer once told me she wished people bought clothes like they buy furniture. when you buy a couch, you know you're going to live with it for 10+ years. clothing purchases are often much more impulsive; the items treated as disposable.

While walking to my local polling place this morning I saw a bluebird (surely a good sign?!) and then my ballot jammed in the machine (bad??). The stakes are so high, and I'm optimistic but still unsure how the midterms are going to turn out. Desperately hoping everyone votes & we make some change!
