I know this is not a novel observation but the digital wellbeing reminders on a work smartphone are honestly making me want to give up on society and move to a yurt in the upper peninsula YES I USED MY PHONE 45 MINUTES MORE THIS WEEK, THERE WAS MORE WORK TO DO

I sure hope no one is trying to contact me, who hasn't thought to reach out via email. I have posted a lot about the lost phone on here, and I mentioned it in my daily activism emails. But I guess some people don't actually read check those. Please no one call a wellness check on me.

I currently don't possess a watch, an alarm clock, a portable way to listen to music, a pager, my own vehicular conveyance, or a workable sense of direction. And I need 2 factor authentication at some point for work. So I need to replace this phone. But I keep thinking: what about 1 day more?

Two days without a phone. It's been refreshing. I've had a cell phone since I was 16 (22 years ago). I've had a smart phone since the third year of medical school (14 years ago). The last time I was completely disconnected was when I traveled to Italy in 2010.
