I note that since 2019, I saw exactly one pundit say anything to the effect of “Look lads, I know we all hated the Jam Man but it looks like things got out of hand, should we update our priors” and that guy was instantly set upon by all of his peers on Twitter dot com and Corrected in short order.

If nothing else, the Dead Rod Liddle/Actually The Neo Nazi Is Fine scenes this week helpfully made it very clear what the British political/media system is. Yes, it is that. No, nobody is seriously working to change it. Yes, it is going to be like this at least until most of these people retire.
