This is a poor argument imv. You can reduce the bill y providing the opportunity first - I don’t see any good reason to just cut the money people need to begin with. It’s a false economy and risks hurting people in need.

I wish people could see the vilification and discrimination towards trans people as wrong in it's own rights, because we're human being and deserve human rights. If you're unable to do this, I hope you can at least see it as part of a bigger picture of rising fascism and bigotry.
