The result is a lot of what I see in high school or year 1 intro to game courses. Yes, visuals may be superficially higher quality, but mechanics are trivially generic genre tropes. Familiar stuff! Fundamentally, these are newbie projects by newbie game devs. What were you expecting? Magic?
