It's so strange and exhausting living through years of codes and policies whose implementation is on the horizon, and the slow and deliberately quiet rollout into actual practice. So much effort has been put into minimising them, denying us even a focal point for anger, sorrow, catharsis.

Reminder that the official government position is that female prisoners are perfectly safe incarcerated alongside West, who raped, tortured and murdered at least ten women, but would be put intolerable danger if a trans woman shoplifter or drug dealer joined them.
