Another reason I love seeing our young readers so excited by comics, is because I've never met a kid who read a comic then didn't want to write and draw their own. We get them excited about reading *and* stimulate their desire to imagine & create! Comics are awesome.

It was such a joy! One kid was asking how to do the writing, and my kid said, "Read chapters 9 and 10, then you'll know what to do!" They were so sweet, sharing ideas and giving tips!

Thank you once again to @neillcameron.bsky.social and @the-phoenix-comic.bsky.social for another fabulous comic club draw-along! Having been doing these (and reading his comics) for years it’s fun to see how much the kids now seem to be able to read Neill Cameron’s mind.

There are 4 children at my kitchen table this morning, writing stories and drawing comics together. With lots of inspiration from @neillcameron.bsky.social How to Draw Awesome Comics and multiple issues of The Phoenix. It's glorious!
