A totally earth shattering moment when a Rufous-tailed Robin appeared in front of me at South Landing @flamboroughbird.bsky.social this morning. Still trying to process it! Very pleased a few others managed to see it this afternoon. Not sure I’ll top this one for a while! #ukbirding #rarebirdsuk

Astonishing. Prestatyn to Cardiff in six hours is only marginally slower than the Sunday train service between the two towns, and it looks as though Mike took the most mountainous route he could find! #BatsInWales will be of interest to #BirdingWales too.

Continuing my theme of "Why would a bat weighing 6g do this??" look what Mike did last night. 👀 (yellow highlight). At 18.40, he was holidaying in Prestatin. By half past midnight he was in Cardiff. In a straight line that's 130 miles in under 6 hours. #bats #wildlife #movementecology

Moved to Barra on Monday but with the weather worsening I headed back to South Uist today for more wader action. Good views of presumably the same Long-billed Dowitcher from last month on The Range. Had a look at Balgarva this evening and picked up this juv White-rumped Sandpiper! #birdingscotland
