Meddling in elections is supposed rather than proven, Gerasimov doctrine perhaps, but why would they consider us an enemy? What is the purpose of NATO post USSR anyway? I'm not pro or anti RU but you'll never understand the conflict if you don't read both sides POV, which many don't. 2/2

Crimea was part of Russia until 1954 and many people never accepted the transfer. It's still mostly ethnically Russian, one reason they were able to walk in unopposed. Donbas likewise Russian, national boundaries don't take account of local identity. 1/2
