Still I miss the living on the edge feeling of deploying to prod manually with no back ups. Dropped prod db by accident, but I failed doing so because the server was so over worked it timed out. But at least I felt alive

We did a website that handled millions of sales per day, 4 nerds in a room. Later we got acquired by a company that had all stuff in place, pipelines “real” programming language and whatnot. They had 25% of our sales with 4x the amount of people.

I’m so glad I was a developer in the unprofessional early web days. Releasing an update meant dragging files through FTP, folder by folder One day a guy showed me how to prepare a zip file with all changed files in the right folder to unzip at target at once I was blown away by his professionalism

دیگه هیچ اپلیکیشن سوشال‌مدیایی‌ای ندارم روی تلفنم جز بلوسکای (که انقد هیچ خبری نیست که سوشال‌مدیا به حساب نمیاد). توییتر رو مدت‌هاست ندارم؛ اینه‌ستا و ردیت هم فقط روی وب. ردیت و اینه‌ستا رو امروز لاگ‌اوت کردم ببینم روانم و بازه‌ی توجهی‌م چقدر پاکیزه‌تر می‌شه. ایشالا به زودی ناپدیدیِ کامل از جهان.
