Sometimes you just gotta go window shopping on `Option`, `Result`, `Iterator`, and `[T]`, so you can find just the thing you need. I don't have `bool` in my rotation, but yeah, they do just be adding helpful stuff all the time!
Show PostI use compilers, my understanding of assembly language improves my rust, I don't often look at the assembly produced by a compiler since descending to that level of abstraction is rarely relevant for the software I'm currently writing, but I would do so if necessary.
Show PostYou should learn more about the tremendous value of intermediate languages that help to maintain invariants. Honestly, learn more about compilers in general. It might disabuse you of the notion that we're going to have LLMs write machine code on the future.
Show PostLearn some haskell too while you're at it. Types are very useful for constructing abstractions and for forcing the programmer (or robot) into doing the right thing.
Show PostIf you know LLVM internals and similar PLs but not rust in specific, where does that put you? Docs can and regularly do lie to you. “Better” is likely a matter of taste. Both are useful. Not listed yet, but also helpful: reading the library sources.
