@kekexinz.bsky.socialNow out in full form. Again, a big thanks to #teamtomo and @alisterburt.bsky.social for developing the infrastructure to build this on. journals.iucr.org/d/issues/202...
Show PostExcited to share a new chapter of my scientific journey in Chris Russo's group — developing a way to freeze proteins faster than they diffuse, paving the way for cryo-EM without air–water interface damage.
Show Post**Job Alert** Exciting postdoc position available: theoretical and experimental cryo-EM studies of flexible biomolecules. Competitive salary, collaborative environment at NYSBC and Flatiron Institute. Please share!! and contact: pcossio@flatironinstitute.org
Show PostStructural biology techniques capture an enormous amount of conformational heterogeneity, which is often lost during the transition from experimental data to deposited models, including how we encode this heterogeneity. @diffuseproject.bsky.social
Show PostThis one is a bit of a departure from the usual and definitely a work in progress! We found that by using ab initio reconstruction at very high res, in very small steps, we could crack some small structures that had eluded us - e.g. 39kDa iPKAc (EMPIAR-10252), below.
