This service change came after @alexip718.com's reporting exposed the weekend service crisis of America's worst-performing subway agency. In 2024, MARTA never ran regular service on consecutive weekends, taking out an estimated 5,500 trains that would've served Downtown, Midtown, and the Airport.
Show PostINBOX: The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority has pledged to increase daytime weekend service to the highest levels seen in two decades, beginning April 19th. For the first time, marta will run Red Line trains to the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport all weekend.
