Show PostMe writing a sentence with 50+ ancient citations in the footnotes: aha, this will show them! Me when it comes time to check each citation to make sure I didn't typo a reference: well, that shows me.
Show PostSaturday played DBMM. My EIR against later Arabs. The usual story about being outnumbered etc. I was getting closer to breaking than my opponent but I had done him some serious damage. So we ended the game rather than play all day. I’m thinking that I should start a Norman army with larger numbers.
Show PostAmazing weekend of wargaming draws to a close. Three epic games of SpaceHulk on Saturday. Played the entire Ultramarines: Duty & Honour campaign through, ending alas with a solid Genestealers victory. SpaceHulk absolutely remains GW’s finest game! #WarhammerCommunity #SpaceHulk #Ultramarines
Show PostVery cool stuff, though my instinct is that the sword there looks like a bearing sword - a oversized sword used as a ceremonial object and never intended for use in a fight. Still really cool (but important not to let bearing swords color our sense of what real battlefield weapons were like).
