Show PostI think you missed mentioning the massive Soviet deportations and forced people movements shortly after the war. Millions of people forced to move. Estimated 300-400,000 people died.
Show PostOTD in 1946 Operation Osoaviakhim took place in soviet controlled Germany. 2500 engineers were deported to USSR to help build soviet weapons & rockets using Nazi technology & expertise. Which is awkward af for my trolls cos they think only US used ex-Nazi engineers.
Show PostSoviets tried to get them to volunteer to go but for some reason no one wanted to go to USSR so instead they forced them. In total about 6000 people were deported. Imagine forced deportations in this day and age..
