We need to restore trust in the community, but trust has to begin somewhere. If you identify somebody who is clearly just in it for themselves, don't mirror that behavior. Don't get involved with them. No need to call them out, either. Just shut them out of your life. You need allies, not deceit.
Show PostThis isn't really meant to be a rant and I don't have some sort of solution for this. I just want newer actors to kind of have their guard up when it comes to some of their peers. Learn who really has your back, who you should support and form friendships with, and who's just using you.

we all spent the better part of a *decade* trapped in a deeply manipulative working environment, which preyed on our kindness & guilt for pennies (if we were lucky) in return. i could not be more proud of my friends & how they've flourish this past year - it makes me really emotional. we're free!!!
