there’s a video going around on TikTok of a man leading the entire bar to cheer on a woman breaking her five years sobriety and she looks sort of defeated after she takes a drink. I have told myself a few men loved me who didn’t in my time so I know where this comes from but god I hate that for her

I was there - I was a college student when 9/11 happened. The unity lasted maybe a couple days. The pervasive, intense Islamophobia & paranoia started within the week.
