To be clear, I believe strongly in the need for robust and inclusive public education. Updated structures and paradigms to bring these systems in line with practices we've known to be more effective for generations is necessary. Provincial systems could learn a lot from Indigenous education systems.

I'm often questioned why I homeschool. There is a long list from violence to disability but the primary reason is how terribly ineffective the industrialization era model and systems of education are, particularly at critical thinking, creating life-long learning capacity and healthy socialization.
