My husband's grandmother passed away this morning. She was 102, so not unexpected, but this is the first death I have experienced that I am involved with the logistics. My father-in-law is going to be sitting shivah a few blocks from us, so we are helping out a lot.

We do such a piss poor job of it that I have stopped using the word Zionist entirely. Also, as a gentile with Jewish cousins, it's on us to listen in times like this, not to barge in and correct people about their lived experiences.

Depends how you define antisemitic. I think a significant minority of people are using anti-Zionism to cover their explicit antisemitism. I think the majority of leftists (like the majority of Gentiles) haven't examined how much latent antisemitism they've absorbed from their social surroundings.
