Brenda Fricker, you were so marvellous. Saw her first in 1982's "Ballroom of Romance". As a woman "left behind" she had to face the inevitability of ending up with Bowser Egan (played brilliantly by John Kavanagh). "Will you come into the field, Bridie?" stays with me still. RIP.
