Interest payments on the debt — the fastest growing part of the federal budget — exceed defense spending. As former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen said in 2010, the debt is the “most significant threat to national security.”

We play different roles. Electeds working within a harmful system - who succeed insofar as they make it less harmful. activists who push electeds based on movement values. If you expect electeds to behave like activists or activists to applaud all an elected does, you’re going to be dissapointed.
