i recognize that 4dratum is the gritty realistic world and that's why we have the desaturation blast, but....... surely there was street fashion that's more bold than this. i guess you could spin it as "sora isn't special and wasn't chosen so he's just Some Guy" but his design was never boring

i honestly am kinda stunned by it because nomura used to make such iconic outfits and now sora is inexplicably dripless. i didn't love the diminished color scheme of his kh3 outfit either. but for whatever reason i wasn't expecting the double down on noctising everyone

the wild part to me is that people are going to bat for steven. like, clearly the ship has sailed re: the art direction changing to emulate the cinematics. and it was never a meaningful fight, obviously. but people will fight to the death against anyone who expresses that they miss the toony style
