I had someone "correct" my grammar on here for using the phrase "big ask". They commented "Ask is a verb and request is a noun." I responded that I'd reread my comment and not find where I asked or made the request for their pedantry. They blocked me. 😂

This is actually some really stealth racism. I'd be impressed if it weren't so disgusting. BE aka AAVE — that is, Black English — allows this grammatical structure. It is not "uncultured" nor "illiterate". It is a dialect. Do better.
