I mean, I would disagree. If you publish your work under a specific license, it is stolen if that license gets violated. There is an argument for fair use, but if LLM labs were confident about that argument they wouldn't be doing payouts about it IMO; they'd know they could easily win outright

I think there are multiple layers to it: 1. Artists/writers are (rightfully!) upset that their work got stolen to make the models 2. LLMs produce worse art/writing than humans, and are worse at creative/judgement tasks 3. It is being poorly shoved into everything So what they use day-to-day sucks

which I can't name because again— small coffee shop, it would reveal my location— I always end up getting to talk to people there. Sometimes I talk to the shop owner, sometimes the nice lady making my coffee, and often times the customers talk to me as well. Today, a little old lady and a +
